Jim has 30 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Innovation and General Management across the snacking and healthcare industries. Areas of expertise include branding, innovation and merchandising/point of buying excellence. He contributed to multiple major business turn-arounds and new brand launches and has experience in developing commercial capabilities needed to lead future growth. Jim has lived in Europe and Japan (in addition to the US) and has extensive experience in emerging markets notably Latin America and China.

Jim in now Senior Vice President at Kellogg’s responsible for their global snacks category. Prior to joining Kellogg’s, he advised small and mid-size companies focusing on innovation, branding, market expansion and building commercial capabilities. He was previously with Mondelēz International (previously Kraft Foods) where he led the company’s Global Innovation Practice and Snacking Strategy Development and also served as SVP, Global Director for the company’s $6 billion gum and candy category.

From 1985 to 1993, Jim held various marketing and sales positions with Warner Lambert Company including assignments in London managing OTC medicines for WL Healthcare UK and Global Marketing Director, Smoking Cessation, for Parke-Davis. Jim moved into the confection category in 1994 first as Business Director for Adams USA (division of Warner Lambert) prior to moving to Japan in 1996, where he served as Sales and Marketing Director and then President of Adams Japan.

Jim returned to the USA as Executive Vice President, Commercial Director for Cadbury Americas Confectionary in 2003 when he joined Cadbury Schweppes, following Cadbury’s acquisition of Adams. He added global responsibilities for Gum in 2006 and, in 2008, Jim was appointed to Cadbury’s Chief Executive Committee responsible for leading the company’s gum and candy categories prior to being acquired by Kraft in 2010.
