Marina has established a reputation as a change agent combining expertise in business strategy and marketing creativity to set new standards that have changed the way companies think, act and go to market in the highly competitive, well-entrenched food, beverage, spirits, fashion, media and entertainment industries.

As the top executive of Spirits Marque One, Marina changed the rules of the game by transforming a virtual start-up into a value-added acquisition by Constellation Brands and market-leading spirits company. In the last 4 years alone, she increased SVEDKA brand value 3.5x to $1.5B+ with recognition as Power 100’s 2012 World’s Biggest Brand Mover, IMPACT’s 2011 Fastest Growing US Spirits Brand and Beverage Information Group’s 2010 and 2011 Fast Track Growth Brand. As Senior Vice President at Constellation, she positioned SVEDKA as one of Constellation’s most profitable lines of business, and shared her expertise to change the overall image of their $ 10B portfolio of 100+ wine/spirits brands.

As SVEDKA’s visionary Chief Marketing Officer, Marina challenged industry norms, reinvented a cluttered category, and transformed an unknown into a Top 10 spirits brand and the 2nd largest imported vodka. Using an image-conscious “cheap chic” positioning to appeal to a new generation of consumers, she built an edgy, fun lifestyle brand that fueled dramatic growth, forced the competition to rethink their strategies and connected with millenials, urbanites and other target audiences in ways that extended beyond just the product and brand. Marina also developed visually arresting, innovative products that earned multiple International Wine & Spirits Awards, World Spirits Competition Gold Medals and BTI Gold Medals for packaging, product quality and exceptional taste.

Marina has also served as Chief Strategist/Chief Marketing Officer for Quirky, Inc., Chief Marketing Officer for lia sophia, and VP Marketing for SONY Electronics.

Her early career with corporate giant, PepsiCo, showcased her ability to blend business strategy with creativity and the art of storytelling through new media and entertainment. As Director of Advertising, she put Pepsi on the leading edge of pop culture with award-winning Super Bowl campaigns featuring major celebrities that enabled the $8B US beverage portfolio to regain market share dominance.
