Rob has been involved in the specialty food trade for over twenty years, with a proven record of success in global sales, strategic planning, packaging, team-­‐building, new product development and production, distribution, procurement and import/export management. He has deep and established relationships with buyers in every major distribution channel: specialty, natural, grocery, club, mass, foodservice, direct-­‐to-­consumer, health & beauty and export. His long-­‐standing sales relationships include retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Williams-­‐Sonoma, Target, Walmart, Publix, The Fresh Market, Costco, Kroger, Sur La Table and Dean & DeLuca.

Previously, Rob has served as VP of Sales & Business Development at Ciao Bella Gelato, a category-­‐leading national ice cream brand, and VP of Sales & Marketing at D’Artagnan, a national brand of specialty meats.

As founder of The Lyric Group, Rob engages in brand management and business development in the retail and foodservice trades. Clients are emerging national brands across multiple categories and channels, ranging from the ideation stage to sales volumes of $250k – $20mm. Present and past clients include Vosges Haut-­‐Chocolat, Rick’s Picks, Victoria Amory & Co., Sir Kensington’s, Locker Family Recipes, Brooklyn Brine, Splendid Spoon, Bee Raw Honey, Steve’s Ice Cream, Grady’s Cold Brew, The Jam Stand, LunaPops, Brooklyn Slate, MILKimchi, Beer Flats, Better Together, High Road, Morris Kitchen, Dave’s Gourmet, Fizzy Lizzy, SchoolHouse Kitchen, Z Crackers, Jimtown, Sencha Naturals, Snow Soda, Trifecta Sauce Company, Glee Gum, Happy Goat, and Sweet Riot.

Prior to launching a career in food sales and marketing, Rob spent close to ten years cooking in some of the best white tablecloth restaurants in NYC. He resides with his family in New York City.
