Alex holds a Masters in Food Studies with a concentration in sustainable food systems from New York University. Alex’s research and coursework focused on the political, economic, and environmental factors in agriculture and food production, distribution, and consumption, within national and local food systems. Alex received his B.S. in Environmental Studies at Parsons School of Design at The New School.
Prior to graduate school Alex worked as a non profit fundraiser for the Food Bank of Alaska, Boys & Girls Club, and Non-GMO Project. Additionally he has worked and volunteered with numerous local food and community organizations.
Alex is an avid urban farmer and has a weakness for doughnuts.
